Sculptra

Dermal fillers and Sculptra are both injectable treatments, but they work differently and provide different types of results. Fillers like Juvederm and Restylane place additional hyaluronic acid under your skin to restore lost volume or enhance your natural contours with additional volume. Sculptra’s formula stimulates collagen production and is mainly used to replace volume and encourage more subtle rejuvenation.

During your consultation at Vitality, we can talk through the options and make recommendations based on your goals. Some patients opt to use a combination of dermal fillers and Sculptra.

Sculptra works gradually, so you’ll start to notice improvements in volume in a few weeks following your first session. You can expect to see your full results around 3 to 6 months after completing a series of treatments.

We offer both Sculptra and thread lifts for patients interested in treating sagging skin on the face. Thread lifts provide an immediate effect, while Sculptra results are more gradual and take several months to build.

There’s no extended downtime to plan for, but there are some aftercare instructions for Sculptra. Most notably, you’ll need to massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for the 5 days after your treatment.

Sculptra is made with a biocompatible synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid. During treatment, your provider injects this material under the skin. Then it’s gradually absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen to support firmer skin.

Most patients need a series of 2 to 3 treatments with Sculptra. We space these sessions 4 to 8 weeks apart. This timing allows us to assess your results as we go to ensure your treatment plan is effective and provides the most natural-looking rejuvenation.

Sculptra results can last up to 2 years. With dedicated skincare routines, some patients extend their results even longer.

Unlike dermal fillers, the collagen that Sculptra stimulates is part of your natural tissue. How long your results last will depend on your body’s natural chemistry and how quickly it breaks down the new collagen.

Yes! We can also use Sculptra on the thighs, abdomen, and buttocks to help tighten skin and provide additional volume to areas that need it.
