Know Before You Glow
We offer the entire family of Juvederm fillers, including the Ultra XC, Ultra Plus XC, Vollure, Volbella, and Voluma XC. Juvederm is FDA approved for multiple areas across the face. Depending on your goals, we’ll recommend the specific filler for your treatment. Generally, we use them in these ways:
- Ultra – Used for lip augmentation and mild-to-moderate facial wrinkles.
- Ultra Plus – Used for lips and more moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles
- Vollure – Used for more moderate and severe wrinkles
- Volbella – Used for lip lines and under-eye hollows.
- Voluma – Used for restoring deep cheek volume
There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to dermal filler treatments, and we also offer Restylane and RHA fillers. During your consultation, we’ll go over all the options, answer your questions, and make recommendations tailored to you!
Most Juvederm fillers will last between 6 and 18 months. The exact duration of your results will depend on which filler we use, how much we use, and the treatment area.
Juvederm fillers use hyaluronic acid, which is a substance the body naturally produces. So that means your body’s metabolism also plays a role because it breaks down the filler over time. Treatment areas that see more day-to-day movement (like the lips) may also break the filler down faster than stable areas (like the cheeks).
Because filler is a temporary treatment, many of our patients enjoy scheduling regular maintenance sessions to keep their filler fresh. When you start noticing less volume or the reappearance of wrinkles, that’s a sign it’s time to schedule your next treatment!
There are a few steps you’ll want to take immediately after your treatment to make sure you have the best results possible. We’ll talk through the specific details during your appointment, but our basic guidelines are:
- Use ice in the first 24 hours to help with any pain or swelling.
- If bruising occurs after the first 24 hours, apply heat.
- Avoid alcohol and heavy exercise in the first 24 hours.
- Do not massage the injection areas.
- You may use mineral powder after injections, but no liquid makeup for 24 hours.
Yes! We also offer Restylane and RHA Fillers. Depending on your goals, we’ll make recommendations for which product or products will help you achieve your ideal refresh and natural-looking results. It’s not hard and fast, but generally:
- Juvederm is great for softness and subtle volume.
- Restylane is ideal for sculpting and more firmness.
- RHA is versatile and dynamic, allowing for more natural movement.
We love all our filler products equally, but we always make sure to make the best recommendation based on your goals.
